HON. D. STEWART'S SERVICES. AUCKLAND APPRECIATION. The following telegram was forwarded by the president of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce this morning to the Hon. W. Downie Stewart:— "While congratulating you on your stand, may I, on belialf of the chamber, and personally, express sincere regret that you should have been compelled to withdraw from the Cabinet? Also wish to record appreciation of the very valuable services you have rendered to the Dominion."
