PRISON ENTERTAINMENT.

The prisoners at Mount Eden Prison were remembered by the Presbyterian Social Service Association in the New Year holidays, and were given a fine programme, provided by the management of the Bevue Company now playing at His Majesty's Theatre, assisted by leading local art ; sts. The following contributed items:—Miss Ella Shields, George Wallace, Manda Jones. Bill Liddle, Murrnv Walton Wal Reynolds, Phyllis Best. Gladys Barton. Alys Moneur, Miss Yoorhav, Air. Morecroft, Mr. Samuels, Jack Elliott, Mr. Simpson.

During the holidays each woman and man at the prison received a bag of sweets, donated by Mr. H. Jones, managing director of J. M. Mennie. Limited.
