JUNIPER BEATS MERRY PEEE. STAKES TO WATER POWER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Monday. The Waikouaiti Racing Club's annual meeting was held to-day. It was spoilt to a large extent by heavy showers during the afternoon. Scratchings were frequent and this no doubt caused restricted speculation. Metal Bird slipped and fell in the cup and Some Toff fell over him. Mount Boa also was involved. In the Orbell Stakes, a wellbacked horse, Hurllngham, also slipped and fell. The totalisator handled £ 11,049, compared with £ 15,032 last year.
