AUSTRALIAN WOOL.
LARGE JAPANESE PURCHASES,
SYDNEY, December 21
Leading business men who returned to Sydney to-day from the East declared that Japan was now one of the largest buyers of Australian wool. They estimated that Japan's purchases would soon reach 1,000,000 bales a year.
They were convinced that Japan's influence would soon lead to prosperity in Manchuria, which would soon need Australian wool in the same proportion as Japan.
