THE IMPORTANT PART OF A BRIDGE PARTY. Your g-uests may liold good cards or bad ones, partners may trump their aces ana call "no bid" holding- four aces, or the bridge may be good, stiff lighting; between keen players. But when supper is brought In, everyone's eyes look for something different. Give your guests the most delightful surprise, savouries that will make them forget Yarboroughs and "dud" partners. Here are two everyone will like:— "KIPPAVETTE" SAVOURY.—Cut some fairly thin slices or bread, butter and spread them with PECK'S KIPPAVETTE. Place two together like a sandwich, cut into squares or lingers, and fry in boiling fat until a nice golden brown. Garnish with crisply-fried parsley and serve hot. SAVOURY EGGS.—Cut some small squares of toast, butter and spread liberally with PECK'S SALMON AND SHRIMP PASTE, cover with scrambled eggs and sprinkle the top with chopped capers or parsley. Serve hot.—(Ad.)
Appetites are generally laggard on hot days—but not when Whittome's pickles are served with euiumer meale. They add to the nourishing goodneea of the meat.—(Ad.)
