From December 24 there will be no one in attendance until January 4, when the uesual hours will be resumed. • .* •• •.* • * # All-Saints! Pack. Taking the foi'm of a parents' evening, the last" meeting for the year of the All Saints'' Pack, was held on Monday, December 19. A.good muster of parents and friends turned out to witness the jungle dan.ce; .playette, songs and. other items which the cubs rendered. Mr. .Norman Tate, the popular conjurer, gave ashort entertainment, which was much appreciated.' In the course of the evening, Mr. Otto, chairman of the group committee, spoke of ' the good work rendered by Miss Cockfield, the CM., and fier assistant, Miss Macguiness, and on. behalf, of the committee made> a sentation to each officer. During the year the cubs have been making handcraft presents,; and' towards „the ,elose of the evening each boy gave to his parents the-'-things he had made for them. Under the able leadership of Cubmaster ;W.' Dean, the Hospita.l Pack, recently reorganised, is making steady progress. Because each boy must receive individual attention the pack ■ae a .whole may not go forward very rapidly, never the less, good work ie being done, and the cubs are making headway. Hobbles is a feature that has been claiming the attention of this pack, and. a number of the cubs are now busy making Christmaa presents for' ■ their parents and friende. During the holidays many of. the-cubs will return home, among these being. Cubs Morrie Turner, William Campbell, Jack Probert, 30, Abbotsford, Terrace, Devonport, and Bruce Cunningham, 2i», Truro Road, 'Saridriftgham. The cubmaster advises that the last two boys mentioned are still confined to their beds, and suggests that cubs from other packs could do a splendid good turn by dropping , along'and seeing them during the Coming holidays. ,On Sunday, 11th, the combined annual church parade was held in the Holy Trinity Church. A muster of ' 150 scouts,- guides, cubs and- brownies paraded at the Council Chambers, arid marched up, headed by the'Devonport Boys'- Band. ■ ''.. • . !j '■
