Von Papen's Reappointment As Chancellor. HINDENBURG'S CONFIDENCE. BERLIN, November 30. The Minister of Defence, General Schleicher, is continuing his efforts to form a provisional Government with a non-political programme, but well informed people doubt his success, and Herr von Papen's reappointment as Chancellor is regarded as certain. The President, Marshal von Hindenburg, is reported to have told Dr. Kaas, leader of the Centre party: "Herr von Papen has my confidence. If he is rejected I do not feel inclined to go on."
