CHURCH MEETING.

MOUNT EDEN METHODISTS. On Tuesday evening the annual meeting of the Mount Eden Methodist Church was held at the schoolroom. The chairman, Rev. S. J. Werren, minister-in-charge, referred to the death of the mother of Mr. T. Clark. Those present stood for a minute in silence. A pastoral address was delivered by , Mr. Werren. The Rev. S. Griffith thanked the retiring officers for their loyalty to the work while in omee. Reports of the various activities of the church were given by Mesdames Armitage and Thomas, Misses F. Willens and B. Med win, and Messrs. P. Dellow, J. Herbert and J. Tyler. On behalf of the ladies' guild. Mrs. McNab, the treasurer, presented the trustees of the church with a cheque for £60. Mr. Rudd thanked the ladies for their generous sift. During the evening solos were rendered by Miss Edna Arthur and Mr. P. Dellow.
