"COME TO AUCKLAND."
PROPOSAL FOR CARNIVAL. PKOVTSIONAIi PROGRAMME A tentative programme has been arranged by the Auckland Junior Chamber of Commerce in connection with the proposed "Gome to Auckland -, campaign, and the matter will be further discussed at a meeting next Tuesday evening. The programme for the particular week to be fixed will extend from a Monday to a. Monday, starting with a grand opening procession depicting historical events with assistance from the Navy and territorial, and concluding on the final Monday with a harbour Venetian carnival, searchlight display and fireworks. The proposed programme on other days will include community singing, cabaret nights, harbour excursions, processions, boxing, wrestling, battle of flowers, dancing, a special shopping night, carnival ball and commercial and trade procession. It ie proposed on the Sunday of the week to hold a religious service at tho Domain with assistance from bands and /a. massed choir.
