TOLD BY READERS.

Original Stories under this heading are invited for our Fortnightly Competition. \ A very short story, "Denis," captured the 5/ prize tf»is week for Beatrice Bridges, 4, Abbey Street, Newton, age 16. Stories of almost equal merit, but vastly different in type, were sent in by Lorna Finlayson, Remyera, age. 14, and Joan Skinner, Waihi, age 12. "Greenleaf's Slippers," by Dorothy Price, New Lynn, age 15, was also quite good and will be enjoyed by the little ones. Other stories to be published were sent in by Thelma Millett, Orua Bay, and Heather Graham, Ponsonby.
