MONTEREY IN PORT. REMUERA'S SAILING BELAYED Cargo work on the Auckland waterfront was resumed this morning after the week-end and Labour Day holiday. The principal arrival to-day was the liner Monterey, bound from Sydney to Los Angelee and San Francisco. She is to resume her voyage at 5 o'clock this evening. The next overseas arrival will be the Rangitiki, from London, on Thursday morning. The sailing of the Eemuera for London has been postponed until mid-day on Thursday.

A sailing from Auckland to-day was the Melnnesian Mission's small motor shin Southern Cross for the Solomon Islands. The vessel will not return to Auckland, as she is to have her headquarters In the Solomons.

With passengers, mail and cargo from London, the Now Zealand Shipping Company's liner . Rangltiki is exported .to reach Auckland at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Sho will probably berth at the eastern side of Queen's wharf.

For cleaning and painting, the Union Company's fruit steamer Waipahl went into dock this morning. She is announced to sail nt 11 a.m. on Saturday for Suva, Apia and Nukualofa.

A further postponement in the sailing time of the New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rr-muora for Southampton and London is announced. The vessel is now scheduled to leave the Central wharf at midday on Thursday instead of at midday to-morrow. The liner was originally advertised to sail on Saturday last, but her loading was delayed owing to the freezing works dispute. MONTEREY IN PORT. An arrival at Auckland this morning was the Oceanic Company's liner Monterey, from Melbourne and Sydney. The vessel, which is berthed at the Queen's wharf, brought 110 passengers for this port. THE BRISBANE MARU. The Japanese motor ship Brisbane Maru, carrying Eastern cargo, left Brisbane on October 19 for Sydney, Melbourne, Risdon, Wellington and Auckland.
