C. J. JOHNSTON WINS TOURNET. The Maungakiekie Golf Club's tournament was concluded yesterday. In the semi-finals of the Labour Day handicap, W. Grecnbank (Akarana) boat J. S. Kankin. 4 and 3; and C. J. Johnslon (Pukckohe) beat A. Ely, 5 and 4. In the concurrent medal handicap the best cards were:—D. R. Garrard, 70—10 — 69 ; W. Grecnbank, SO—a —72 ; 11. Beauvais, 92—20—72 ; G.~ Stichbury, S7—ls— In the afternoon Johnson beat Greenbank by 3 and 2 in the final of the Labour Day handicap. The four-ball bogey match was won by B. Hcnton and L. J. Croxson with a score of 5 up. The next best scores were :—S. Caro and E. Friedlandcr, 4 up ; J. McDougall and G. Stichbury, 3 up.
