SUPERANNUATION.

LEGISLATION INTRODUCED

LABOUR HOSTILITY PROBABLE,

(By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.)

WELLINGTON, this day.

The Superannuation Bill, giving effect to the recommendations of the Economy Commission's report, was introduced in the House by the Prime Minister this afternoon.

The bill, which is to be referred to a Select Committee, which will probably be sot up to-day, follows the lines forecast by the "Star" on Saturday.

The attitude of the Labour party towards the bill is not yet disclosed, but probably the line of action to be followed will not be finally determined until proposals have been minutely analysed. No attempt will therefore be made to prevent the introduction and circulation of the bill. . It will probably be found, however, that the Opposition will adopt a hostile attitude towards the proposals.
