WHANGAKEI CHAMPION BEATEN. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAKEI, this day. In the third series of cricket competition matches, Whangarel lowered the ■ colours of Nomads, champion club for the past two years. Nomads were all out in two hours and a half for 89 (Wilkinson 32 not out, Gash seven for 37). Whangarei lost six wickets for 43, but Wilson saved them with a knock of 55. The innings realised 115 for 7 (Dunn five for 42). Maungakaramea made 33 (Chitty six for 11), Combined Services replying with S3 (Chitty 19, Monk four for 17). High School B made 40 (Bourke five for 5) and were defeated by the first eleven. 121 for two wickets (Williams 31, Ross 23).
