GISBORNE DAIRY HERDS.
A POOR SALE. (By Telegraph.—Special to " Star.") GISBORNE, this day. At Gisborne's second dairy sale of the season there \fas an entry of 320 head. Prices all round show a decline compared with recent ruling rates and last sale. For springing heifers, many good quality Jersey some distance from profit, the highest price was £6 17/6. In a few instances above £5 was paid. Generally values were from £4 to £5. Cowa generally realised £3 to £5; unattractive two yearling heifers, .good, 32/6 to 37/6, average 25/. Several ordinary cows, no bid. A fair part of the entry was passed.
