At Swansea, All-India (229 and 87; Clay four wickets for 34) beat Glamorgan (81 and 181) by 54 runs.
B. H. Lyon and A, P. F. Chapman, disciples of brighter cricket, decided, after the early conclusion of the Glou-cestershire-Kent match at Canterbury, to bat for an hour aside in order to entertain the large crowd.
Gloucester scored 198 in the hour. Hammond made 69 in 25 minutes.
Kent made 203 for five wickets, in 45 minutes. Woolley rattled up 86 in half an hour.
The outstanding features of county games, which concluded yesterday, were centuries bv H. Sutcliffe, W. R. Hammond and "v , . W. C. Jupp, M. W. Tate's 13 w.ickets, and Yorkshire's revenge on Lancashire for an innings defeat in May. Scores were:— Notts: First innings, 267 (Allom five for 69); second, none for 61. Surrey: First innings, 177. Notts won on the first innings.
Middlesex: First innings, 140 (Tate seven for 28); second, 98 (Tate six for 30). Sussex: First innings, 275. Sussex won by an innings and 37 runs.
Worcester: First innings, 309; second, five for 196, declared. Essex: First innings, 247; second, three for 120. Worcester won on the first innings.
Lancashire: Firet innings, 170; second, 187 (Verity five for 35). Yorkshire: First innings, nine for 362, declared (Sutcliffe 135, Leyland 91). Yorkshire won by an innings and five runs.
Somerset: First innings, 118 (Bailey five for 30); second, 105. Hampshire: First innings, 111 (White five for 35); second, 84 (Young five for 30). Somerset won by 28 rune.
Warwick: First innings, 260 (Mitchell six for 79). Derby: First innings, 86 (Wyatt five for 24); follow-on, eight for 191. Warwick won on the first innings.
Kent: First innings, 163 (Parker six for 83); second, 197. Gloucester: First innings, 325 (Hammond 130, Dacre 60); second, one for 38. Gloucester won by nine wickets.
Leicester: First innings, 291. Northants: First innings, 110 (Geary seven for 00); follow-on, 167 (Jupp 106). Leicester won by an innings and 14 runs.
