RESULTS OF COMPETITIONS FOR JULY 20.
Noel and Joy Atkins, Maromaku, were bracketed for the first prize, and R. J. Mardle, Totara Avenue, New Lynn, age 16 years, was awarded the second prize. Third and fourth places went to Lois Kendall, 62, Onslow Road, Epsom, Auckland, age 11 years, and Enid Paris, 23, Cromwell Road, Mount Eden, age 14 years. Certificates of merit were awarded as follow:—BLUE: Freda Johnson, Jean Simmons. Howard Fry, Evan Steel. PINK: Peter Cliniie, Catherine sennis, Ruth Dennis, Leola Reed, Alexa Holmes, Arthur Osborne, Patricia Maloney. GREEN: Gladys Boyd, Fred Soppet, Joyce Greenhalgh, Alice Smith, Brian Foote, Rita Sutton, Nina Stuart, Cathleen Fletcher, Anece TJassie. YELLOW: Lola Hutchinson, Mary Sorenson, Dorothy Harnell, Madge Danks, Jean "Webb, Nancye Wernham, Audrey Lennard, Rita Kappely.
