HELLO, N.Z.

Our pages seem to be appreciated by the young people of America who happen to seeiire copies. The letter below is from our latest American member. P.P. April's Last Day. Greetings and Salutations. If I sound like a. musty old person, please forget, for I'm not. I'm just a young girl—sixteen to be exact —who would adore belonging to your delightful club. But do you knovy, your club is so different fronr American ones. Beware! I<*or some day you'll receive an issue of our old standby, and be surprised at the amazing language of our young people. Oh, but we're a merry gang. Since T want many of you to write to rue I'd better decsci'ibe this "me person." She's very modern, is a brunette and sft 4in, and she has the most amazing hobbies (if they can be crtHdrl so). She loves to sketch and write poetry, compositions, short Tories and editorials. She likee tit a nip collecting, and revels in reading good books and poetry. 'She adores walking —especially in the rain, and could listen for Lours to Lawrenqe Tibbett and Schubert's delightful serenades or Russian music. Oil! Any good miiisic! Sometimes she likes modern jazz, and sometimes sh:' likes to dance; she could write letters for hours and could read Richard Halliburton's glorious adventures over and over again. Now that I'm covered I hope you're satisfied. Would you be surprised if 1 sent you a poem? Ob, well, other things have been done, and thin isn't half as bad.

Just now I'm listening to, a radio broadcast from a beer-garden in Berlin. Germany. It's so funny! Think of listening to a Germain miles from here.. We're •having the. most glorious weather. It's spring, you know, arid everything isr green and lovely beyond words. If I had enough superlatives — you'd hear about the day. As It stands I've run out of them. C'est domniage! Alma Wynn, your "Forgotten," was very funny. You kept me in suspense. And then that droll ending.

And Peter Pan and Wendy (what adorable names) you write such nice editorials. Our club editor never writes a letter, but then lie-she is a mystery— and 10, we know so little about the person.

I'd love to go motoring to-dny. Perhaps I rilrall. Until—but I love to drive. 1 suppose you all kiiow Betty Sclpal, of Canada. She's a very jolly girl! And just as peppy as her letters.

Gee! This German programme is beautiful. They even played American music —and now. they're singing a German song. It's so queer. Ann is practising for a plav she is to be in. All I hear is her many parts. The play is this week and she knows so little. I hope she forgets a little. Aren't I a ineanie t Please, say yes. To-morrow I shall see Greta Gar bo in "Grand Hotel.'" I've read the review and it sounds great. Am I a movie enthusiast? Rather.. Please, you oversea, friends, write to me and make me happy. I want more letter friends. And would some of you please' send me issues- of the T'eter Ban Club? Thanks. Adieu, . ' MAHY SABO, 145, Mayer Avenue, Buffalo, ■New York, U.S.A.
