TROTTING AT EPSOM.

AUCKLAND WINTER MEETING.

PETER PIRATE HOME AGAIN.

BETTERWIN SCORES IN MANUKAU.

CARL MACK TAKES THE MEMBERS'.

The trotting season in the North Island is being brought to a close to-day at Alexandra Park with the holding of the concluding day of the Auckland Tiotting Club's winter meeting. This meeting is one of the most popular in Auckland, but, unfortunately, the weather conditions have invariably been unfavourable, though quite the reverse to-day. The track is very heavy, and consequently times recorded are well outside the handicap classes. There was a fair attendance when the racing began, and the crowd increased later.

. J" B * before the race for the Mark Memorial commenced, his Excellency the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, and party arrived on the course.

In the straight-out trotters' event Carl Mack beat Bessie Parrish and Windchat.
