PERSONAL.

Mr. L. C. Clifford has returned to Auckland from the South.

Mr. W. J. O'Donnell, managingsecretary of the A. and P. Association, returned this morning from Wellington.

Captain M. Huggett, formerly of the Auckland Customs staff, is a patient in a private hospital, where he recently underwent an operation.

Mr. Dynes Fulton, chairman of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., and Mr. C. J. Pariane, general manager, returned to Hamilton from Palmerstson North this morning.

Messrs. W. J. Jordan, H. G. R. Mason. A. J. Murdoch and S. G. Smith, M.lVs, left for Wellington last evening-. Mr. W, W. Massey, M.P., arrived this morning.

Mr. S. Taklc, president of the Auckland Manufacturers' Association, arrived this morning from Wellington, where he has been since Tuesday on the business of the Development of Industries Committee.

The Hon. G. J. Smith, M.L.C., of Canterbury, who has lieeii in Auckland, left for the South last evening. The Hon. R. McCallum, M.L.C., of Marlborough, left for Fraukvon by the express this morning.

Mr. T. Imai, of Japan, who has been on a business visit to the Dominion, left by the Zealandia for Sydney to-day. Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Shilts, ol America, who have been holidaying in the Dominion, were also passengers.

Mr. G. W. Eeid, of Dunedin, delegate of the Xew Zealand Manufacturers' Association to the Ottawa Conference, will arrive in Auckland in the week-end, and will address members of the Auckland Manufacturers' Association on Mondav.

Mr. G. Firth, representative of the New Zealand Tourist Department in Melbourne, returned to Sydney to-day by the Zealandia, after having spent a short holiday in Xew Zealand. He was accompanied by Mrs. Firth.
