PLAY IN THE PARKS.
Your correspondent of the 30th ult is cither sadly misinformed or wilfully ignorant regarding Myers and Victoria Parks"sum. vision. To my knowledge, the City Council in its wisdom have had capable attendants at both parks for the past eleven years. One of these is known to me personally and has specially studied the organisation of *ames and exercises, and, I can assure you, "takes more than a passing interest in the physical welfare of the children that come under'ler notice. Anyone who has had anything to do with these particular localities must knowhow important the latter is. Moreover I understood that Victoria Park entered teams at Carlaw Park on Thursday last and carried off a cup which was open for competition among the various children's parks. I am sure your correspondent must agree that his assertions fall very flat, and I would surest that, instead of holding down a seat in some remote corner of the parks, he should come forward and help brighten the lives and improve the physical outlook of these, our future citizens. FAIR GO, "An Interested Mother" writes to similar effect.
