MOTOR CYCLE ACCIDENT.

HUSBAND AND WIFE INJURED. SIDE CAR OVERTURNED. Mr. Ralph McAuley, aged 27, and Mrs. Rene McAuley, aged 28, of Parawai, Thames, were injured at noon yesterday, when the motor cycle and side car in which they wore riding, overturned us the result of Mr. McAuley turning sharply to the right to avoid a collision with a motor car on St. Luke's Road, Sandringham. Mr. McAuley was attempting to pass the car, when it turned suddenly to the right, but the driver of the car saw the other machine in time and swerved to the left, thus avoiding a collision. So sharply did the motor cyclist change the direction of his vehicle that it overturned and threw him and his wife on to the road. They were conveyed to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. The condition of the husband is stated to be fairly serious, and that of the wife not serious.
