Butter.—New Zealand: Salted, 114/ to 120/; 'unsalted, 117/ to 120/ (114/ to 120/ equals approximately 1/ f.0.b.); first whey, 108/; second .whey, 106/. Deliveries, New Zealand, "1350 tons; in stores, New Zealand, 4028 tons. Australian: Salted, 111/ to 114/ per cw.t; unsalted, 112/ to 114/. Deliveries, Australian, 950 tons; in store, 925 tons. Argentine: Unsalted, 110/ to 114/.- South Africa: 104/ to 108/. Market steady. Danish: 125/, f.0.b., 132/ to 134/ spot. Dutch: Unsalted, 144/ to 146/. Siberian: Unsalted and ealted, 100/ to 102/. Ukranian: Unsalted and salted, 100/ to 102/. Polish: Salted, 100/ to 102/. Unsalted, 104/. Market qwret. N.Z. retail prioe 1/3; Danish increased to 1/5. Arrivals (butter from Poland and Baltic States. 56 tons; Russia, 450 tons; Canada, 2500 boxee, expected next week, 3200 boxes.
Cheese. — New Zealand: White and coloured, 68/ to 69/, ex., 70/ (68/ to 69/ equals approximately 6%d f.0.b.). Deliveries, New Zealand, 15,100 crates; in store, 44,156. Canadian: White, 63/ to 70/; coloured, 69/ to 70/; c.ii., 6s/. Deliveries, Canadian, 15,593 .boxes; in store, 298,738. Market steady. New Zealand retail price Bd. English finest farmers', 84/ to 90/. The board has also received the following advice from its agents in Canada: — Butter: New York, .30 cents (1/3); Montreal, cents (10^d).
MERCHANTS' TABLES. Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Co. have received the following cable from their London principals, Messrs. Nathan and Trengrouse, dated , London, October 31: — Butter: Nominally first grade, 115/; finest, 120/. Market cleared pending availability of Maimoa. Cheese: White, 69/; coloured, 68/. Market quiet, "out firm. Messrs. Leonard and Son, Ltd., have received advice by cable from Mr. A. G. Roweon, London, dated October 30, of the following market report:—Cheese: White, 70/; coloured, 69/. The demand is steady, and the market firm. Advances from Monday, November 2, reduced to, finest 5%d. Butter: First grade, 115/; finest, 120/. The demand is slow, and the' market firm. Advances from - November 2, reduced to, finest lO^d. FROZEN MEAT. PRICES AT SMITHFIELD. The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board has received the following cable from its London office, dated October 30, advising that the following axe the approximate average prices realised for the week, based on actual transactions of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of meat mentioned and are for representative parcels of the goods offering "during the week, being for business done on the basis of delivered to Smithfield.Market and/or ex London stores:—

Lamb Market.—Continues heavily overstocked with home killed lamb and Australian lamb. Prices easier and market rather depressed. Mutton: Wethers easier; ewes, market steady ibut slow. Beef: Slow owing to lower prices Argentine chilled beef. New Zealand -porker pigs: Market unchanged. Supplies of home killed continue heavy. COTTON, RUBBER, JUTE, ETC. LONDON, October 31. LONDON EGG MARKET, Thanks chiefly to a spell of cold weather on the Continent, which greatly reduced suppliss. the egg market recovered sharply thii week. With South African arrivals limited there has been a strong demand for Australians, which were practically cleared, 16's fetching up to 14/ per 120.
