AMMON RA RETURNING
BARRIER POSITION IN. CUP
(Received 1.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. At Flemingtpn Concentrate and Oratorian ran five furlongs on the grass at a steady pace. Prince Dayton cantered about three miles. He is to run in the Cup, but is still sore. Shadow King (P. Egan) ran five furlongs on the tan in 1.6%. Carr-y On, Koomeela and Veilmond did useful work. They look well. At Caulfield Alcman ran four furlongs on the eand in 525. St. Mary only cantered, and Sea Rover strode twice round. Amnion Ra only did slow work. He is returning to New Zealand to-night. Golden Lullaby ran two furlongs in 255. Home Made Van nine furlongs iu 2.4. Johnnie Jason, only did pace work. He looks improved as the result of his race in the- Derby. Rosetta covered five furlongs in 1.5. Kendler ran six furlongs' in 1.22.
Phar Lap has drawn No. 15 and Concentrate No. 2 at the barrier in the Melbourne Cup.
