KYLSANT LAW SUIT.
CHANGE OF VENUE DECLINED. LONDON, June 30. The Lord Chief Justice, Lord Hevvart, and Justices Avory and Charles refused an application by Lord Kylsant that his case be heard by the King's Bench Division instead of at the Old Bailey. Sir Patrick Hastings, K.C., counsel for Lord Kylsant, argued the necessity for a special jury, owing to the complicated nature of the accounts of the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company, and the difficult questions which would arise, including that of the duties of accountants. Mr. Justice Avory said he doubted whether a King's Bench special jury would be more intelligent than an ordinary Old Bailey jury, which would be drawn largely from the City of London.
