At Leeds, in the first round play for the thousand guineas, Bradbeer beat Kirkwood, 5 and 3, Gadd beat Churio at the 19th, and Alliss beat Robson at the 22nd. In the eecond round A. J. Lacey beat Jurado, 4 and 3, C. Whitcombe beat Boomer, 5 and 4, Gadd beat -Bradbeer at the 19th, Alliss beat Turnesa, 3 and 2, and Manero beat E. Whitcombe, 5 and 4.
