REPRIEVE REFUSED.
EXECUTION IN GERMANY. BERLIN. May 1. In spite of the temporary abeyance of the death penalty, the authorities have refused to reprieve Eric Tetzner, who murdered a tramp in order to fake his own death and gain insurance on his life to the extent of £7000. This will, be the first execution in Germany for three years. It is stated that the authorities are alarmed at the largo number of brutal murders. In view of this precedent it is considered certain that Kuerten will be sent to the guillotine for his crimes at Dusseldorf.
