ADVICE UNHEEDED
VACILLATING POLICY.
Australia Ignores Niemeyer Recommendations. ' PILING UP DIFFICULTIES. (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, May I. The. Commonwealth has deposited the necessary funds with the Westminster Bank, to pay the interest which Mr. Lang was unable to meet. Tlio '"Financial News," recalling that Sir Otto Nieineyer's statement in August declared that Australia should be given two years to put her house in order, says that the breathing space has been narrowed to eight months, and the debt problem is even further from solution. The Government's vacillating policy is merely piling up difficulties. The paper, in an editorial, repeats that the London market will not be found to be unsympathetic when the situation is faced.
