HONOUR TO WHOM HONOUR IS DUE.
lix reading tlie accounts of the Anzac services lield throughout New Zealand, it strikes one from overseas that Anzac must mean "A New Zealand Army Corps" and not "Australian and New Zealand Army Corps," for no mention or praise, is made of any other country but New Zealand, yet one ready in Australia pride of place was given to New Zealand troops in the march there. Why ? If my. memory serves me right New Zealand men protested three years ago at not "being in a more prominent place in the proecssion, and this year in New Zealand Australian iroopa were placed sixth in the march, hardly a position one could describe as "pride of place." I am proud of my relatives and triends who died at the landing at Galiipoli, uut am disgusted at the want of generosity and loyalty to Australia at such a time by the people here, who have so much to thank Austialia for when she did so much for New Zealand both at Galiipoli and in Egypt in the early days of the war, espcially the Red Cross.
