■ STRUCK BY MOTOR CAR. SERIOUS ITEAD INJURIES. Valda Woolley, aged 10 years, who lives with her parents at 13. York Street, j Parnell. was seriously injured when she j was struck by a motor car at the June- I tion of Stanley Street and Parnell Road. about 9 o'clock this morning. The girl had been sent to Stanley Street on a message, and when crossing Parnell Road, presumably to go into j Selwyn Terrace, she was knocked down j bv a motor car that was going down the hilL The car stopped and took the child,! suffering from head injuries, to the j Hospital. Her condition is reported as > serious. This afternoon the child was reported to be improving.
