FOR THE UNEMPLOYED.

WORK ON TEAM TRACKS. Good work is being done on the tram tracks on the Mount Eden, Remuera and Heme Bay routes by the men engaged by the Auckland Transport Board under the No. 5 unemployment relief scheme. Since the scheme was resumed the board has taken on 300 men suitable for the work, and are paying them wages over and above the Unemployment Board's subsidy of 12/ a day. Many of the relief workers are men who had been in the empoy of the board when the programme of tramway extensions was being carried out. _-___-_____=_=__=
