T.he mottoes submitted tbis week WC J" e quite U P t0 the usual standard. The best one was sent by Kitty Brown, Fife Street, Heme Bay, who was awarded the half-crown prize. Mottoes sent in by Winifred Dromffool and Joan Blomfield were highly commended. Politeness is a gilt-edged investment which seldom misses a dividend.
