BIG DECREASE IN APRIL. MORE FROM PETROL. Customs revenue collected at Auckland during April was much less than the amount returned for the same month last year. Even excise on beer, which usually remains constant, returned £4921 less than in April, 1930, and the total for the first four months of this year is over £7000 less than that for the same period of 1930. Tyre tax returned only £1254 last month, as compared with £2048 in April, 1930, but the total for the year to date is £268 more than it was for the same period, last year.
