RUN ON BANK.
ALARM IW SYDNEY. POLICE CONTROL CROWDS. LONG QUEUES WAITING. CONSEQUENCE OF M.P.'S QUESTION. (Received 3 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Apparently alarmed by recent develop, merits, and by a question in the Federa Holse, whether there had been a rut on the Commonwealth Savings Bank, depositors in that institution yesterday displayed some alarm, resulting in considerable withdrawals. To-day long queues were waiting ir. the street outside the headquarters oi the bank, and police controlled the crowds anxious to withdraw money, til! the closing hour at noon.
