NORTH SHORE CLUB.

TOM LOWE CLUB CHAMPIOX.

The North Shore Amateur Swimming Club wound up its competitive season at the tepia baths on Friday evening, -when two senior club championships were decided. T. Lowe won the 440 yards club championship by some 30 yards from T. Rowell in 7.5 2-5, just 1 2-5s slower than his own club record. He also annexed the club diving championship, H. HomistoH being second. For the second successive year the Sterling Cup and Sharp sold medal, awarded to the competitor sgcuriM the highest aggregate points in n series of seven club championships—and which carries with them the title of "club champion," were won by T. Lowe, with five firsts, one second and one third to his credit, a total of 29 points. L. Beck, with one first, two seconds and a third place dead-heat, was again runnerup with 111 points, while J. 'Magee, with a first and a second, filled third place with S points. Other point scorers were:—H. Homiston 4, T. Rowell Sh J. Curtayne 3, H. Watkins 2, and A. Spraggoh 1. Following are the results of the various racps:— HO Yards Club Championship (title and record holder, L. M. Beck, 28 3-ss).—L. M. Beck 1, J. F. Curtayne 2, T. S. Lowe 3. Beck went to the front from the start, to finally win by a yard in the fast time of -28b, clipping 3-5s off his own club record. A touch separated second and third. 100 Yards Club Championship (club record, 05 4-os, J. F. Curtayne. Holder of title, L. M. Beck).—T. Lowe 1, L. M. Beck 2 H. Watkins 3. A splendid race. When half the journey had been covered Leek, Curtayne and Lowe were on level terms, and the last 20 yards saw a fine struggle between Lowe and Beck. The former sprinted to win by half a yard, with Watkins four yards back, third. Time, 07 3-ss. 220 Yards Club Championship (club record, 2.54, .7. F. Curtayne. Holder of title, L. 11. Beck).—T, Lowe 1, L. M. Beck 2. H. Watkins 3. Curtayne clapped the pace on from the start, and led for four laps, when he retired. With 40 vards to go, Lowe drew level with Beck, and over the final stages he sprinted, to eventually win by three yards, Watkins being some distance away, third. Time, 3.9. 440 Yards Club Championship (title and record holder, T. Lowe, 7.4.). —T. Lowe 1, T. Rowell 2. Homiston and Lowe quickly went to the front, and at 100 vards hail a three-yard lead on Beck, Rowell and MeDougall. Lowe then took the lead, Homiston retiring, and, increasing it with every lap, finally won by 30 yards from tile only other competitor to finish, T. Rowell. Lowe's time, 7.5 2-5, was 1 2-5s slower than his own club record. CO Yards Club Breaststroke Chamoionship (title and record holder. T. Lowe, 40s). —J. Magee 1, T. Lowe 2, H. Homiston 3. A splendid race. Magee winning bv a touch, with the third man two yards further back.
