VETERAN ACTOR DEAD.
ROBERT EDESON PASSES
NEW YORK, March 25. The death occurred at Hollywood yesterday of Mr. Robert Edeson, veteran character actor on the stage and screen.
Air. Robert Edeson, who was aged 02, had spent 34 years on the stage and screen. He first appeared on the stage at the Park Theatre, Brooklyn in "Fascination." In the next few years he toured v America, gaining experience and fame. His invasion of England was made in 1899, when he appeared at the Adelphi Theatre as David Brandon in "The Children of the Ghetto." Except for another visit to London in 1907, his stage career was thereafter wholly confined to America.
Edeson'e last stage performance was given in 1922, since when he devoted himself entirely to the screen in connection with the Famous Players-Lasky ■ Corporation. Among his many pictures, he will be remembered for his part in "The Volga Boatman "
