(Received 11 a.m.) PARIS, March 25. Another remarkable instance of the leniency of the French Courts was provided at the Seine Assizes. A nurse called Jeanne Sanson was sentenced to two years' imprisonment for pouring boiling oil over her sleeping husband, who died in agony. She was given the benefit of the First Offenders Act and will go free. She declared that her husband had illtreated her for 20 years.
