TAINUI LOADING

MA-RAMA SAILS TO-MORROW,

Arrivals at Auckland to-day included the Kartigi from Melbourne, the Golden Coast from Los Angeles and tne Tainui from New Plymouth to load fpr London. The Port Brisbane, which arrived from Melbourne last evening, is also loading for London, while the Canadian Highlander is filling up for New York, Boston and Montreal, and is to sail for New York this afternoon.

To-morrow the Hertford is due from Liverpool, and the Ashburton from New York via Suva is expected to arrive on Saturday morning.

Taking passengers, mails and cargo for Sydney, the Mara ma is to be dispatched from the Queen's wharf tomorrow afternoon. The passenger steamer Ulimaroa, leaving Sydney tomorrow, is due here next Tuesday.

UNION COMPANY'S STEAMERS. The Waipiata is to sail at 10 p.m. to-day for Gisborne, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, Oamaru and Timaru. On her return trip to Sydney, the Union Oo.'s passenger steamer Marama is to be dispatched from the Queen's wharf at 3 p.m. to-morrow. To complete discharge of her cargo of phosphate from Makatea, the steamer Dunrobin sailed yesterday afternoon for New Plymouth and Wanganui. The C. and D. Line motor ship Port Fremantle, which left Auckland for London on February 27, is reported to have cleared Colon last Saturday. Leaving Sydney to-morrow, the Huddart, Parker passenger steamer L'limaroa is due at Auckland next Tuesday morning. She sails again for Sydney the following Friday.

THE CANADIAN HIGHLANDER. The Canadian National steamer Canadian Highlander, which arrived from Wellington last evening, is loading at the King's wharf and is to sail for New York, Boston and Halifax at 5 p.m. to-day.

HERTFORD'S BERTH. A berth at the Prince's wharf has been which is du<s at Auckland from Liverpool allotted to the "Federal steamer Hertford, at 4 p.m. to-morrow. She has general cargo for discharge here and at Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth.

lONIC AT SOUTHAMPTON. Cabled advice from London states that the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer loijio, with passengers, mails and cargo from Auckland, arrived at Southampton on Tuesday. She was dispatched from Auckland on February 14.

THE NEW ZEALAND. According to her wireless report, the Texas Oil Company's tanker New Zealand will arrive at Auckland from Los Angeles on Sunday morning, i She has bulk motor spirit for discharge at New Zealand and Australian ports.

TAINUI LOADING. To continue Homeward loading, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tainui arrived at Auckland from New Plymouth tJiis morning and berthed at the Queen's wharf. From here she is to go to Wellington to till up, and slie is scheduled to clear that port for Southampton and London on April 8.

KARTIGI DISCHARGING. An arrival at Auckland this morning was the Union Company's steamer Kartigi, with general produce' from Edithburg. Adelaide and Melbourne. She is to sail to-morrow evening for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge.

PORT BRISBANE LOADS. Arriving from Melbourne last evening, the C. and D. Line steamer Port Brisbane anchored in the stream overnight and berthed this morning at the Queen's wharf to commence Homeward loading. From here she is to go to Gisborne, Wanganui and Wellington to fill up, and is scheduled to sail finally from Wellington for London and West of England ports on April 11.

CANADIAN NATIONAL LINE. The local office of Canadian National Steamships advises that the Canadian Commander is to replace the Canadian Cruiser, leaving Halifax on March 27 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australian ports. The Canadian Cruiser is to leave Halifax for the same ports on April 24, replacing the Canadian Pathfinder. THE GOLDEN COAST. With lumber, case oil and general cargo from Pacific Coast ports, the O. and 0. Line steamer Golden Coast arrived at Auckland this morning and berthed at the Central wharf to commence discharge to the agency of Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd. From here she goes to Gisborne to load frozen mutton, and thence to Wellington. Lyttelton, Dunedin and Sydney to complete discharge of her Pacific Coast cargo.

COASTAL LIGHTS. Mariners are advised that the normal character of the light at Kahurangi Point, West Coast, has been restored—i.e., groupflashing every 15 seconds, thus; Flash, 0.75 seconds; eclipse, 4.5 seconds; flash. 0.75 seconds; eclipse, 9 seconds. The light now shows white from 038 deg. through east to 151 deg.; red, thence to 176 deg.; white, thence to 248 deg.; obscured elsewhere. It is intended to alter the main port light at New Plymouth as follows: —The fixed red light on Mlkotahi will be replaced by a white light oceulting every tea seconds, thus: Light, 5 seconds; eclipse, 5 seconds. The light will be visible from 061 deg. through east to 241 deg., except where obscured by Sugarloaf Islands.

PORT OF ONEHUNGA. ARRIVALS—YESTERDAY. Ronaki, from Kawhia, 11 p.m. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. The following vessels are expected to be within range of the Auckland wireless station to-night:—Aorangi, Tofua, Maui Pomare, Voco Vigrid, Tairoa, Dunrobln, Canadian Highlander; Ashburton, Hertford, Port Hobart, New Zealand, Sydney Maru.
