CANTERBURY FARMERS
OPPOSE BILL.
PRACTICALLY A MORATORIUM
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The Mortgagors Relief Bill introduced by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, was strongly criticised ot a meeting of the North Canterbury executive of the Farmers' Union, when a motion in support of the bill was defeated by six votes to two.
A majority of the members-were of the opinion 4 that the bill practically aimed at a moratorium, and that it would not give mortgagors the relief they required.
