'liui. monthly "meeting of the Raglan Womcu's'lnstitutc'was held in the Town Hall supper;room on the evening of the lGth, when a large number of-visitors were present. JThe, hostesses fer the evening were ■ Mesdauies Carpenter, Noffkey-' Laughton, G. Thomson and F. Bernard. Two. interesting demonstrations were given, one on wool rug-making by Hawkins, of Hamilton ; and one on pewter work by Miss Dent. Both provec ,, fascinating and interesting. Miss Avcry sang and Mrs. B. H. Pegler gave a..pianO'-«olo. A nursery rhyme competition .was won'by Mrs. J. B. Jackeon.
