THE GAME DRAWN,
(United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright:)
LONDON, January IS.
A Rugby football match, England v. Wales, at Twickenham yesterday resulted in a draw, each side scoring , 11 points.
The GO,OOO spectators saw an amazing finish. With the score at 6—3 in favour of Wales in the first half Boon took a very long throw-in, aiming at a loose Welshman. He miscalculated, hawever, and the ball fell into the hands of Burland (England), who scored a try, which was converted, giving England a lead, S—6.
There was no further score until three minutes before the close of the game when Morley burst through the English defence; and scored a try which Bassett (captain) converted, making the score 11—S in favour of Wales.
The odds seemed to be 1000 to l.in support of. Wales' first win at Twickenham, and the spectators began to pour out of the ground. However 10 seconds before the whistle was blown Black (South African Rhodes scholar) took a long shot for a free wick, scored and equalised the totals.

UNLUCKY COUNT-OUT.
HEENEY IN NEW YORK.
NEW YORK, January 18,
In a boxing match at New York Max Baer, of California, was credited "with a knock-out against Tom Heeney (New Zealand) in the third round.
The New Zealander "was casually listening to Jack Dempsey's count after having been pushed through the ropes when he was declared knocked out. All the sporting writers, who, had encouragingly pushed Heeney back, agree that he was far from taking the count. In fact he was as. hard as a rock they say. Hβ had led easily in the first two rounds.
Heeney was preparing to resume, when the time-keeper (Donovan) and the referee (Dempsey) told him the bout "was over. Heeney said he was not hurt and looked disappointed.
It is generally agreed that- the New Zealander could have returned to the ring in plenty of time, but he was listening comfortably to Dempsey's count.
