THREE ANGLICAN CHURCHES.
A crowded congregation attended the morning service at St. Aidan's Church, Remuera, yesterday, when Archbishop Averill instituted the new vicar, Rev. R.. L. Connolly, formerly of Te Aroha. Archdeacon W.. J. Simkin acted ae chaplain, and the father of the new vicar, the Rev. W. E. Connolly, read one of the lessons, the other one being read by the Rev. F. G. Harvie, of the Church of St. Barnabas, Mount Eden. The Rev. A. B. Venables, of Mangere, also assisted at the service. The archbishop preached the eermon.
In the afternoon Archbishop Averill instituted the Rev. H. V. Salmon as vicar of the Parish of Bombay. Mr. Salmon recently arrived in New Zealand from England, where he had been senior curate at Stoke on Trent. He will act as chcaplain for the St. Stephen's School for Maori boye at Bombay. Archdeacon G. Mac Murray yesterday morning inducted the Rev. Harold Heaslip, formerly of Bombav. as vicar of the Church of St. Thomas, at NewLynn.
