Hotel Canberra Without a Single Guest. £300,000 IN LAST FIVE YEARS. i Received 11 a.m.) CANBERRA, this day. The Hotel Canberra, which, is the largest and best appointed hotel in the Federal city, and which, cost the Commonwealth Government over £150,000 to build, is without a single guest.. It is estimated that the loss on the five hotels at Canberra, three of which are now closed, has amounted to £300,000 in the last five years.
