1 AUCKLAND CLUB. | The first round of the Auckland Golf Club's senior and intermediate championships was played at Middlemore on Saturday. Conditions were good and the greens were in fine order. The first round of the club championship resulted as follows: —R. O. Gardner beat W. 6. Ralph, 2 and 1; H. Plumley beat J. P. Aldred, 7 and 0; L. W. Delph beat H. Tidmarsh, 3 and 1; A. W. Donald beat R. D. Wright, 2 and 1; E. L. Bartleet beat S. Coibeck, 1 up at the 20th; Dr. Abbott beat C. Jacobsen, 4 and 2; H. B. Lusk beat R. G. Rainger, 8 and 7; C. M. Gordon beat N. Louisson, 1 up. The first round of the intermediate championship resulted as follows: —H. L. Rees boat W. Wilson, 7 and 5; H. P. Richmond won from H. Abel by default; V. Wilson beat W. B. Coibeck, 2 and 1; G. Foote beat .T. B. Elliot, 3 and 1; Dr. I<\ Macky- beat H. Hortou, 1 up; R. B. Wilson beat E. Horton, 2 and 1; J. B. Lusk beat E. B. Brown,, 2 and 1. The following players qualified for the junior championship:—J. Macky, 85; E. C. Sare, 86; D. Polsen, 88 ; R. Browne, 00; Dr. Johnson, 00; F. Dawson. 00; Dr. Gunson, 00; E. Harper, 91; K. A nursery handicap played in conjunction with the qualifying round of the junior championship resulted in a win for E. C. Sare, with a score of SO—l<3—7o. The next best score was that of .T. Macky, 85 —14 — 71. The second round of the C grade championship was also played, and resulted as follows: —J. B. Macfarlane beat G. Hutchison, 4 and 3: I\. Wilson beat R. J. King, 2 and 1 ; Dr. Ludbrook beat .T. Farvell, 2 up ; H. Cameron beat C. Herman, 3 and 2. PAPAKURA CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP. The senior championship of the Papaknra Golf Club was won by W. Olilson. who defeated G. A. Smith, a former champion. in the final. 2 tip. Ohlson was 4 down at the end of the first IS holes, but played better jrolf on the second round. This is the first occasion on which Olilson has won tin- 1 championship. A medal round was played by members on Saturday. The following are the best cards returned: —Olilson. (57 : A. Beams, 00.

MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB. A four-ball bogey handicap played by members of the Maungakiekie Golf Club at the Titirangi links on Saturday resulted in a win for It. L. Wilson (8) and A. E. Joplin (7), who returned a card of S up. Other good cards were : W. West (10) and J. C. Jones (13), R. A. Spinley (13) and W. P. Baker (11), 7 up/ T. E. Clark (8) and F. S. Ballin (11). H. A. Broadbent (8) and J. W. Jones (15), A. Fairburn (11) and L. Knight (11), 4 up; M. Nelson (7) and T. A. Ballin (15), 3 up. The semi-final of the championship between R. M. George and H. D. Brinsden was also played, and resulted in a win for the former by 1 up. , A medal handicap will be played for the captain's prize at Titirangi next Saturday. Partners will be drawn. The semi-final of the Maungakiekie Golf Club's junior championship was played at the One -Tree Hill links on Saturday, when J. H. Goyder beat C. Russell-Jones, 2 and 1. Goyder will now meet S. T. Gaskin, the winner at the Titirangi liuks in the final over IS holes at each links. The best scores returned in the bogey handicap were as follow: J. H. Goyder (12), all square; A. K. Hawley (9), all square; C. Russell-Jones (11), 1 down; D. R. Garrard (10), 2 down; R. A. McLean (11), 2 down; R. Ei Craig (15), 21 down.

AUCKLAND LADIES' CLUB. Following are the results of matches played in the third round of the Auckland Ladies' Golf Club's senior and junior championships :— Senior. —Mrs. Marshall beat Mrs. Robertson. 4 and 3; Mrs. Hughes beat Miss C. COLLEGE OLD BOYS' MATCH. A colt" match was played at Middlemore during the week-end between teams representing the old boys of Wanganui Collegiate School and Christ's College. Wanganui College won in the singles by 7 games to 3, and in the four-ball matches each team won two games, two being halved.
