WHAT TO EAT.
The question of ■what raw foods to eat and how to combine them so tliat the body gets a good supply of all the elements required to keep it in perfect health is not quite 6© simple as "Raw" apparently thinks. It would take up much more space than is allowed for a Jotter in the correspondence columns. To get a perfectly-balanced diet it is necessary to know which foods contain the different elements. Two articles of food may contain, the same elements. They imay foe perfectly •good food if eaten at different times, hut wheii eaten together too much. of one element is., obtained and none of another. The value of this knowledge will immediately he Been. This explains why many people have not obtained the benefit expected in changing from a • meat to a vegetarian diet. They have failed to eat the food which contains the same element which meat supplies, namely, protein. 1 There are very few vegetables or fruits which contain this important element. By this I am not advising the use of meat. There are many other foods which have a far bettar quality protein than meat. 1 have not eaten meat for more than v two years and I am stronger and healthier than I have ever been. "Raw" asks when will people who live on uncooked diets come out of the clouds and •reach down to suffering humanity that we all may have good complexions and perfect digestions. That is exactly what lam endeavouring to do, and if. "Raw," or anyone else who is interested, cares to communicate with me care of the editor of this paper I will be glai to give particulars. PERFECT HEALTH.
