JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVES. The following north harbour junior representative Soccer team has been selected by Mr T. H. Hambrook to play a Hamilton B representative team at Hamilton on Saturday week:—A. Smith (North Shore), L. Hart (North Shore), Gill (H.M.s. Philomel) Sale (Takapuna Grammar), Tauinan (Hitfs. Veronica), Porteous (Belniont), Ueal (North Shore), D. Webb (North Shore), Ferguson (North Shore), Ashwin (Belinont), Yarnton (Belmont). Reserve: Eckman (North Shore). j SOCCER CRITICISM. Mr. J. H. Miller, sports secretary of the Y.M.C.A., following up his remarks published on Wednesday on criticism of the Y.M.C.A. team selection, writes: — "We always welcome fair and just criticism and gratefully acknowledge the debt we owe to the Press, but we feel that article was not fair to team whose moral is, and always has been, of the highest standard. Personally, I am in close touch with every member of the Y.M.C.A. teams, and am in a position to adjust any difficulty which may arise.. J. Hilliard, the player apparently referred to, visited me and voluntarily acknowledged his connection and asked me to make a strong protest against the construction put on his remarks when approached by your representative in the Press box and asked the personnel
in your reply.
