MOUNT ALBERT GRAMMAR.

BOYS' ENTERTAINMENT,

An enjoyable concert was presented in the Town Hall last evening by the boys of the Mount Albert Grammar School. The hall was packed by parents and friends. The varied programme was composed of part songs, songs, revues, recitations, and instrumental selections. One of the most impressive items was the singing of " The Mighty Deep" by the basses of the school choir, and the new school hymn " Envoi," the words of which are by Mr. J. S. W. Bennett, an old boy, and the music by Dr. W. E. Thomas. The whole school sang "The Song of the Homeward Bound," '"' Casey the Fiddler," " The Leader of the Town Brass Band," and " Time to Go." The part-sing-ing of the choir gave much pleasure. Other items were scenes from " David Copperfield," recited by two boys, concerted recitations, a humorous interlude entitled " Pseudo Masters of the School," a potted revue, in which about 30 boys took part, complete with a Hawaiian band, and a tableau, " The Doll Siyjp." The programme was appreciatively mfeived by the large, audience. %
