INSPECTOR'S LONELY VIGIL,

- .. ROTORUA, Wednesday.- |j Some' substantial fines \rere imposed Ij for overloading motor lorries, by Mr. I •S. L. Paters.on; S.M., on' Tuesday. The I cases were brought against G. McDonald, I cartage contractor, by tho Eotorua I traffic inspector. In one instance he- j, found- two lorries each loaded with 25 | benzine containers. Later he had his j suspicious aroused, and he spent tha . night watching oil the Mamaku Hills, j ■ with.the result.that he caught McDonald j in the early dawn with a load of 6, ton a 13ewt. ■ . . .
