STAFF DANCE.

The North Shore. Transport, Company employees held their third annual ball on Thursday evening in the Pirate Shippe Cabaret at Milford,. and it was largely attended. The.employees of 'the Otahuhu Bus Company were amongst the guests 6f the. evening. The dance room was gay with a display of bunting and flags. The stage was decorated with the company's colours, green and yellow. The three long supper tables were* arranged with raised baskets of roses, from which green and yellow streamers stretched to the ends of the tables, giving a very light and graceful ■ effect. The .Mayor, Mr. Julius Williamson, was invited .to formally ''.open the ball," which he did in a short speech, complimenting the committee anil the management on,the gayappearance of the Shippe, and taking the opportunity to remark on the amicable relations that exist between the Borough Council and the Transport Company.'lt was a source, of great satisfaction both to the council and himself.- The dancecommittee consisted of Messrs.
