About 5850 were sold. There was a poor selection of Merinos and a good supply of New Zealand sorts, wi'th steady .competition, and opening rates were confirmed. There were some withdrawals of slipes owing to high limits. New Zealand greasy 'crossbr'eds: Pakh'a,'9d to B%d; Waireka, 9d to B%d. Halfbreds: Sette.rcairn, ll%d; Mount Gladstone, , lOYsd to 9%d.
